4th Case Of Non-Reciprocity: (Jewish Slave)
A Jewish thief may be sold as a slave by the court to pay off his debts due to lack of funds.
(Q1) Case:
(A1) In all cases except where both the defendant and the conspiring witnesses do not have the money to pay.
(A2) In all cases.
(Q2) Derivation: (for A2)
(A) “He shall be sold for his theft,” (Shemot 22,2)
This teaches that only for his “theft” is he sold, but not for his conspiracy.
